Therefore, they expected a seamless user experience across different channels for searching for product information. The change in customer behavior improved the diversification of marketing technology.

In 2007, marketing automation was launched as a response to the continuous evolution of the marketing climate. It allowed companies to segment their customers and launch multi-channel marketing campaigns.

As to who is the creator of digital marketing, some people say it was Ray Tomlinson who sent the first email in 1971 and some say it should be Guglielmo Marconi who sent out the first radio frequency
